Description A child's handstitched dress comprised of sheer white cotton lawn. The dress has a square neckline and there is a centered triangular panel with eyelet and satin stitch embroidery with overlapping scalloped trim edges. There short tiered sleeves are raglan set and made out of the same eyelet lawn. An inset waistband has been attached slightly higher than the natural waistline and decorated with an applied eyelet panel of daisies flanked by self piping. At the attachment there is cartridge pleating. Two cream silk tape drawstring has been inserted into the neckline and waist both tying in the back. Two hook and eyes have been attached at waist, but they were probably added later. Above the hem there are six pintucks and a wide foldover hem.
