Description |
Rising Sun quilt comprised of a large applied star made of multicolored pieced cotton diamond patches flanked by pieced satellite stars. Each diamond patch is made of either a printed cotton or plain cotton in one of the various hues of red, blue, green or yellow. The star has been applied to a ground of white cotton with a black floral print and flower or petals have been quilt stitched on the filler spaces. There is a 1/2" wide applied binding made of plain red cotton. The entire quilt is handstitched with light brown thread and a SPI of 6. The back is comprised of a brown cotton with a magenta rose print. |
