Description |
A girl's handstitched dress comprised of a sheer white windowpane checked cotton. The dress has a soft square neckline with an attachment of lace. The bodice portion is gathered and softly pleated with an inset waistband and self-piping at the waistline. There is also cartridge pleating at the attachment of the skirt. The short sleeves are set into the arm syce with self-piping at the shoulders. Also at the shoulders there is a self-fabric triangular panel with a decorative button and lace attached. At the cuffs of the sleeves there is also a lace trim attached. There is a hook and eye closure at the back neckline and at the back of the waist. The inside of the waistband is lined in plain white cotton. The rest of the dress is void of decoration and is unlined. |
