Description |
A three piece boys suit comprised of a grey and white checked wool. All three pieces are machine constructed with hand finishing. a) A pair of flat front trousers with black wool twill piping down the side of each leg with an ornate design by the hem. There is a three button fly and one interior waistband button. The waistband is made out of brown cotton and the trousers are lined in glazed taupe brown. There is a buttonhole stitched into the waistband. b) The jacket is cut in a sacque coat shape with a high button closure located under the notched lapels. The lapels are also trimmed with the same black wool twill. At the proper left chest there is a slit pocket also trimmed with the black wool and two additional faux flap pockets at the waistline. The long sleeves are set into the arm syce with the wool trim applied near the cuff. There is a double vented flap at the back with four decorative buttons. The jacket is lined in glazed brown cotton. c) The vest is made out of the same wool but has a glazed brown cotton back. There is a front closure of five buttons with two functioning flap pockets at the waist. The vest is lined in brown cotton. |
