This is eyewear dated 1815-1840. They are silver rimmed eyeglasses with nearly round clear glass lenses that are clouded with age. The tarnished metal is possibly silver. The ear stems are expandable. The stationary ear stem piece is hinged to the lens frame and extends 3.25 inches. The ear stem is open in its center, allowing for the ear stem extension to slide via a ball and stem inserted into the track.
