Description |
Drawing of a boy with a toy hoop. Written at the bottom in ink: "Joseph at Play. 1832". The boy is sitting with one leg visible, and one leg hidden under his skirt. He is wearing a dress with a blue skirt with green polka dots and orange hem, an orange jacket, with a white ruffled collar, white pantaloons with yellow-and-orange hems, white stockings, and blue shoes. A straw hat with an orange plume is lying upside down on the ground in front of him. The boy has brown hair and white-pink skin. He is sitting on a garden bench, with one tree and one bush bearing red fruit behind him. There is another (unidentified) orange-and-yellow object on the ground. |
