This portrait of Hannah Yocum Bechtel was drawn with chalk pastels by a travelling artist during the 18th Century. It is basically well-rendered and naturalistic, but much of the detail has been blended away. It depicts the subject in a dark dress against a light blue background. Her hair is up and her expression is placid. |
