Description |
Painting, Portrait of Mrs. Joel Krauss. Mid-length portrait showing Mrs. Krauss in a dark dress with heavy sleeves. The dress has delicate lace embellishments fastened with a dark brooch that is positioned between her collarbones. Her face is round with detailed, naturalistic features. The paint is thinly applied in a manner reminiscent of the Dutch masters. |

oil on canvas, 24" x 30" with a 3.5" frame. Paint is cracked and darked. There are some spots of staining and chipping. The painting does not sit securely in its frame, which is chipping as well. A nail protrudes from the left bar of the frame. |
